About.

INSPIRED. DYNAMIC. WORLDLY.

Layla Maghribi is a British-Arab writer and multimedia content producer. Multi-lingual and highly adaptable, Layla connects with people easily to reveal their most compelling stories and produce engaging content for traditional and new media platforms that covers news, features and humanitarian topics.

Layla began her production career as a video-journalist for the Reuters newswire, covering the Gulf region, before joining CNN International as a writer and producer for several of their flagship feature programmes across the Middle East and Europe.

After graduating from UCL, London with a degree in History and Italian, Layla opted for a career on the road meeting exceptional people and discovering incredible stories.

From crossing a luscious Egyptian oasis with the one of the world’s most acclaimed extreme adventurers to exploring the elephant oil fields in Iran or joining a boat trip at dawn to fish for octopus for Portugal’s most renowned Michelin-starred chef, Layla has travelled the world to capture the most captivating stories.

Layla was born and raised in London to Libyan and Syrian parents. Unsurprisingly, she has a particular passion for humanitarian stories that serve to improve the lives of those most in need. She has film and produced shorts for NGOs in Lebanon and Turkey and, in her position as the senior digital producer for the international NGO Save the Children, created a regular stream of content for their digital platforms and travelled to Colombia to film and produce content highlighting the plight of the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis.
